The Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO), in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Bohol Island State University (BISU), successfully conducted the Job Preparation and IT-BPM Career Fair Roadshow 2026 on May 5, engaging around 1,400 graduating students and job seekers.

The event served as a platform to prepare students for employment and introduce opportunities in the growing IT-BPM industry. It featured key industry partners TaskUs, Sagility, and IBEX Global, which provided insights on essential skills, workplace readiness, inclusivity of career opportunities, and real-life success stories of professionals in the sector.

TaskUs led discussions on beginner pathways and core competencies needed in the IT-BPM industry. Sagility emphasized inclusivity, highlighting that career opportunities are open to diverse academic backgrounds. IBEX Global shared testimonies on how BPO careers have improved livelihoods and supported long-term personal and professional growth.

A panel discussion further allowed students to directly engage with representatives from the participating BPO companies and gain clearer perspectives on career pathways and industry expectations.

The initiative reflects strong collaboration between government, academe, and industry partners in strengthening workforce readiness and expanding employment opportunities for Boholano youth.

Aligned with the Provincial Government of Bohol’s Strategic Change Roadmap under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, the activity underscores continued efforts to build a future-ready workforce and sustain pathways for innovation, growth, and meaningful employment within the province.
