The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Gov. Aris Aumentado, through the Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO), convened the Bohol Investment Board (BIB) Meeting on June 29, 2026, at the New Capitol Building to review investment performance and economic development initiatives in the province.

BEDIPO reported that Bohol continues to attract investments in tourism, energy, retail trade, and infrastructure services, with more than ₱20.4 billion in additional investments tracked from 2025 to the first half of 2026.

The office also highlighted the generation of over 1,300 jobs from 2025 until the first semester of 2026 and the implementation of various MSME development programs.

A key highlight was the presentation of Mapalad Power Corporation (MPC), which reported the successful completion of its first emission testing for Phase 3 of their project, another advancement since it started operations last year, compliance with regulatory requirements, and ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives in Ubay, including reforestation, mangrove planting, and medical missions.

The board likewise approved a resolution recognizing MPC’s compliance with its investment commitments and operational requirements.

Aligned with the Strategic Governance Roadmap, the activity reflects the PGBh’s continuing commitment under Gov. Aumentado to foster investments, strengthen infrastructure and energy development, and create economic opportunities across Bohol, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
