Reinforcing its commitment to building a future-ready workforce, the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Governor Aris Aumentado through the Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO), staged the IT-BPM Career Fair Roadshow at the Barder Gymnasium of Holy Name University (HNU) on April 22, 2026.
The initiative gathered graduating students and industry partners, including TaskUs, IBEX, and Sagility, to bridge education and employment and equip Boholanos with skills for the growing IT-BPM sector.
BEDIPO reported around 3,500 job openings this year, highlighting the industry’s expansion. Speakers emphasized communication skills, adaptability, and a strong customer service mindset, while industry leaders shared success stories across diverse academic backgrounds.
Governor Aumentado reaffirmed support for initiatives that empower Boholanos and attract investments, noting that the sector drives jobs and innovation.
The activity supports PGBh’s Strategic Governance Roadmap on social equity, advancing workforce development, innovation, and inclusive growth in Bohol, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
