The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Gov. Aris Aumentado, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the ICT Council of Bohol Province Inc., led by Jay Paul Aying, to further strengthen the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector in the province, held on May 18, 2026, at the Governor’s Office.
Through this partnership, the province aims to advance Bohol’s ICT industry by implementing various workshops, trainings, certifications, and capacity-building activities that will help develop a more skilled and competitive workforce in the digital sector.
The Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO) will also lead and support programs and projects that promote the continued growth of the ICT industry in the province.
Present during the MOA signing were Board Member Greg Crispinito Jala and BEDIPO Head Maria Fe Dominise, together with representatives from Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies, including Sagility, Genpact, ibex, and TaskUs.
Aligned with the Capitol’s Strategic Governance Roadmap, this initiative is expected to generate more employment opportunities, enhance the digital skills of Boholanos, and further strengthen the local economy through technology-driven growth and innovation in the province, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
